Counseling or Referral Agency (CORA) provides services in remedial reading and mathematics, speech therapy, counseling, and educational testing. If needed, students with special needs are evaluated beginning in grade one using varied classroom assessments, teacher observation, and parental input/concerns and, after every possible avenue is reviewed , the students are then recommended for evaluation through CORA Services and/or private educational evaluation services. Students only are referred by teachers with parental consent.

 

Once documented, recommendations are implemented according to the needs of the student and resources available to the school. CORA services are conducted during the day on school property.

 

In addition, CORA provides career counseling for the eighth grade. CORA also offers guidance and counseling services for individuals, groups, or families, and assists teachers with direction in guiding students.
