NAZARETH PARENTS: OUR PARTNERS IN EDUCATION

 QUICK LINKS:

Parent, family and community involvement in education correlates with higher academic performance and school performance. There is a broad range of activities that parents, families and the community can engage in that correlate with Nazareth's mission and goals in ensuring our students have the support and resources they need to succeed in school and in life. Parents, guardians and grandparents are welcome to participate in the following:

  • Nazareth Academy Grade School Parents' Association (NAGSPA) events
  • Chaperoning field trips
  • Participating in service events
  • Volunteering for the school play and other presentations
  • Classroom/School volunteer

Communication with parents is a key to success in the education of children!  The school relates to parents and guardians in numerous ways:
  • Weekly communication e-envelope
  • "School Messenger" one-call system
  • Progress Reports/Report Cards
  • Teacher Ease
  • School website
  • Updates from Principal
  • Scheduled Parent and NAGSPA Meetings
  • Religious Events and Functions
  • Community Service Events

Inclement Weather

School Closing information is available at KYW 1060 (radio) or on-line at http://kywschools.com

Our school closing number is 142.

We will be using School Reach to contact you
on your phone/cell phone if we have:
~ a two hour delay in opening, or
~ an early dismissal due to inclement weather.

If all Archdiocesan and Public Schools close due to snow, NAGS is also closed.
If all Archdiocesan and Public Schools have a two hour delay in opening,
NAGS will also have a two hour delay in opening!

(Bus pick ups will be delayed by two hours: if the usual bus pick up
time is 7:30 a.m., the delayed pick up will be at 9:30 a.m. ~ etc!
NAGS school day would begin at 9:55 a.m. instead of 7:55 a.m.)
